National Trampoline Competition Committee

To All Clubs,

There are a few rule changes which will effective as from 1st January 2001

  1. Modification to the Compulsory Routines for Under 18 / Over 18 - Grades 5-4-3.
  2. Modification to the Qualifying Scores to take into account the increased tariffs awarded for somersaults of at least 360 degrees.
  3. Change to the rules on Registration to Compete, All Grades 1-6 must be registered with Bill Freeman.
  4. New rule for competitors Down Graded from Grade '1'.
  5. Clarification to the rule for synchronised partnerships of different age groups at National Synchro Finals.
  6. Changes to the rules on Competition Attire.
  7. Change to the Rules for Grade '2' Competitions held in Northern Ireland.
  8. We will be introducing the FIG Tie Break system to eliminate Equal Placing’s See FIG Technical Regulations.

It is our intention to publish a new National Grading Structure Booklet as soon as possible.

2 . Qualifying Scores

(These will be effective from 1st January 2001).

There is a new FIG Code of Points, this will result in higher tariffs being awarded for moves containing somersaults of at least 360 degrees of rotation. Therefore some of the required qualifying scores will be adjusted to take into account the higher tariffs.

3 . Registration to Compete.

Any Trampolinist who wishes to compete under the National Grading Structure (Grades 1-6) must be registered with the Licence Secretary at least 21 days prior to their first competition of the season.

4. Special rules for Competitors who have been Downgraded from Grade '1''

From 2001 competitors who have been Downgraded from Grade '1' may enter the last National Grade '2' event in October to attempt to re-qualify for Grade '1'

These competitors will not be allowed to :-

  1. Qualify for the Grade ‘2’ National Finals.
  2. Compete in any Club team.
  3. Compete in the Final Voluntary Routine.
  4. Receive any Trophy.

If they then Compete at a further Grade ‘2’ any qualifying score achieved will be cancelled.

5. National Synchronised Finals. (to clarify the rules on qualification)

Where competitors are from different age groups they must compete in the age group of the older partner, and it is the older partner who must be qualified to compete at the National Championships.

6. Competition Attire

Female - Grades '6' & '5'

Uniform leotard and white trampoline shoes or plain white foot covering. Close fitting shorts may also be worn .

Male Grades '6' & '5'

Sleeveless leotard and gym trousers/shorts in a single colour. Or Sleeveless / short-sleeved, single colour T-shirt and single coloured gym trousers / shorts. Note :- Black or dark coloured trousers are not permitted.

Female - Grades '4' to '1' and Nationals.

Uniform leotard and white trampoline shoes or plain white foot covering as per Competition Rules.

Female - Synchronised Competitions & Synchronised Nationals

Partners must wear matching clothing as above.

Male Grades '4' to '1' and Nationals

Sleeveless leotard and gym trousers in a single colour and trampoline shoes /foot covering in the same colour as gym trousers or white as per competition rules. Note :- Black or dark coloured trousers are not permitted.

Male - Synchronised Competitions & Synchronised Nationals

Partners must wear matching clothing as above.

Team Members - Grades '4' to '1' Male & Female

Team Members must wear matching clothing as above.

7. NIGA TTC Grade 2 Competitions.

These events are open to all Grade '2' competitors (including England, Scotland & Wales).

NIGA members are also allowed to compete on the mainland if they wish.

But no Grade '2' competitor will be allowed to participate in more than FOUR Grade '2' qualifiers per season.

8.Tie Breaking :

In the event of equal positions the following criteria will determine the Final positions

In Individual Competitions

1
The competitor with the highest final score in the voluntary routine.
2
The average of the counting execution judges scores in the voluntary routine (Higher execution score of the voluntary routine).
3
Average of all the execution judges scores (5) of the voluntary routine without eliminating the highest and lowest scores.
4
Average of the 4 highest execution judge’s scores of the volumetry routine.
5
Average of the 3 highest execution judge’s scores of the voluntary routine.
 
and so on until the tie is broken.
