First Steps 4 - Award System

How well are you doing? At first the answer lies in the club award system and later you will know by your competition results and progress through the national grades.

Club Awards System

Most clubs, like West View, have an award system to monitor the skills development of their members. These awards typically run from award 6, lowest, to award 10, highest. Awards 1 to 5 exist but tend to be used for very young classes. Beyond award 10 there are elementary, intermediate and advanced awards that are sub-divided into bronze, silver and gold.

A list of awards and the skills required to achieve them are provided in our Club pages, see the Awards page.

The award scheme was introduced by, the now defunct, British Trampoline Federation to provide a structured means of skills develoment. The scheme has been taken up by British Gymnastics (BAGA). Both BTF and BAGA badges are illustrated.
